Curling was included in the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924 in Chamonix, France along with 9 other sports across 16 events, however the results weren't considered official by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) until 2006. Curling was included as a Demonstration sport at the Lake Placid 1932 Games, again it returned as a demonstration sport in 1988 Calgary Games and the following games in 1992 in Albertville, France. At the 1998 Lagano Games it was included again in the official Olympic Program both Men and Women's events. In 2010 the IOC considered Mixed Doubles for inclusion, however it was rejected because the sport hasn't developed enough.
